Jiří Orság won the third place at the European Championships in Tirana with 237kg in the overhead!

At the end of May, 28.5.2022, the European Weightlifting Championships started and ended yesterday, 5.6.2022. This time the competition moved to the Albanian capital Tirana. Our national team had a total of 15 nominees:

A great result was recorded by our best weightlifter Jirka Orság, who won the bronze medal in the heaviest category in the overhead throw with a performance of 237 kg! He took 5th place in the double fight for 409 (172, 237). He increased his medal collection from the European Championships in all age categories to 5+10+13 and is thus the most complete our representative in history with the largest medal collection!
