Jan Krasinský, or Anabolic Horse and his performance at strongman competitions in Poland!
On Saturday 27.7.2019 was held international strongman competition in Wroclawa, Poland. The competition was organized by Polish strongman legend Mariusz Pudzianowski, who managed to win the biggest strongman competition World's Strongest Man five times ! One such invitation was given to Honza Krasinský!

Hi Honza, tell us, did you expect Mariusz Pudzianowski to invite you to his competitions?
I knew that thanks to my participation in Strength Wars an offer might come from outside the Czech Republic, but I never thought that the invitation would come from a legend of strongman sport, whom I watched as a young beginner! I know that there are a number of good strongmen in the Czech Republic who could represent our country beautifully better than me. That's why I appreciate the invitation and the big challenge.
When the invitation came, what was the first thing that came to your mind? Weren't you a little scared?
The first thing I thought was : Poland, Ukraine, kidneys, bald heads, 150kg strongmen!!!! Beauty, that's what you want! After I confirmed my participation and the roster of disciplines came to me and I started to get a little nervous, I knew that some of the disciplines absolutely didn't suit me because I had never tried it before. Plus the weights for some of the disciplines were my previous PRs. And these aren't wars, here are fighters who have done all these disciplines!
Tell us, how many strongman competitions have you done?
It was my third strongman pro event. The first one Jirka Tkadlcik invited me to Static Monster. The second start was in Aš, invited by Čestmir Šíma. So this was my third, my hardest and first international strongman competition, which took place in Poland. There are even videos from all three competitions on YouTube, so you can check them out.
If you compare all the strongman competitions you have participated in, how difficult were they for you?
All the competitions listed were hardcore for me! In a lot of the disciplines I'm not confident. I'm an amateur as far as the sport is concerned and having my mouth cut open has put me right up there with the best. So no race will be a walk in the park for me - but that's what I love about this one!
How would you rate the whole course of the competition and which events were the hardest for you?
The races went smoothly from start to finish, the course was fast, great organization and atmosphere! There were clouds of people screaming and cheering for everyone regardless of nationality! The races were held outdoors in thirty-five degrees and in an open area directly in the sun. It added a little sweat and tan to the experience. The disciplines suited me, except for the axle and single-handed. I got crazy repositioning and expressions. Anyway. I got the axle and the unicycle is on its way so it never happens again and next time it's a box!
Are you happy with your performance?
Who's ever been happy with their performance? I'm never satisfied and will always want to compare myself to the best. That's why I will never be satisfied and will always be motivated to work harder, lift more and race more.
Will we see you at any more strongman competitions or do you have nothing planned yet?
I want to gradually redo it so you'll see me mainly at strongman competitions and exceptionally at triathlons! I know I'll never be 150kg. I know I'll miss those kilos, but if you want it, there's no obstacle for you.
