James "Flex" Lewis has confirmed his participation in Mr. Olympia! It will reportedly happen in 2020!

James "Flex" Lewis managed to dominate the Olympia 212 Showdown for the seventh time in a row this year.

However, he announced long before the event that this would be his last time on the stage of this event. He was rather questioning about his future in bodybuilding, so it was not quite clear whether he would hang up his competition swimsuit or whether he would connect his future with the OPEN category. Of course, many bodybuilding fans were hoping for the latter.

And to everyone's satisfaction, "Flex" himself confirmed it these days! His future will be in the OPEN category!
He will not have to look at the maximum weight limit, which often cost him kilograms of muscle mass, but will be able to give free rein to his potential.

He plans to compete at the Mr. Olympia competition in 2020, and he wants to indulge in longer volume training, which should give him additional kilograms of muscle to compete with the heavyweights.

Although many are predicting him to win the Mr. Olympia title, this scenario seems rather unlikely, but he could certainly speak to the Top 6!
Let's remember for example Ronny Rockel who, despite being one of the lightest representatives of the OPEN category, managed to fight his way into the TOP 6 in 2010! And let's not kid ourselves, "Flex" is a completely different league!
