Instead of competing in the CrossFIt Games Open, Vladimir Tysaniuk put on his uniform and went to battle
Ukrainian crossfitter, Volodymyr Tysaniuk, had a dream of making it to the regional competition at the 2022 CrossFit Games Open, the next round of the regular season. But he had to put his dream on hold due to Ukraine's war with Russia. As Volodymyr himself said, he was supposed to open his gym on March 15, but he didn't manage to do that either, and now instead of training CrossFit, he is fighting against the Russians. So on his Instagram, instead of videos of his workouts, he now posts war photos with captions of his feelings.
8 days ago, I was living the dream of making it to regionals that I had been preparing for for 6 months! And today your life is like a dream! You can't believe it all, everyone is living in basements, lying down and stretching from explosions! Military planes flying overhead! The whole city is on barricades, the lines in the stores are 200 meters and gasoline is hard to buy at the gas stations! Why do we need all this? Why is everyone who knows me from Russia silent?
I had already planned to open a gym on March 15, I put a lot of energy into this dream. Everything went quickly with great passion On February 23 at 8:00 p.m. I was on the line. And already on February 24 it all started! I hope everything will end, we will all be alive and healthy, training and enjoying our favorite thing!
