"If you want to be the best, you have to do what others won't do," says six-time Olympia winner Cydney Gillon

Reigning Figure Olympia champion Cydney Gillon first gained attention in this division in 2014 when Olympia placed ninth. A few months later, she won the 2015 IFBB Wings of Strength Chicago Pro.

In 2016, Gillon had one of her best seasons, starting with an impressive third place finish at the Arnold Classic Australia. Two months later, she followed up with a dominant win at the Pittsburgh Pro. She then took third place at the New York Pro and finished third at Olympia.

Cydney, who narrowly missed the top spot, came back in 2017 to finally win her first title at Olympia. She set a new gold standard for the next wave of female competitors and proved to be a commanding champion, holding onto the throne year after year.

In a recent YouTube video, Cydney Gillon shared her process for effectively incorporating cheat meals into her strict diet.

"When I'm trying to be my best, I don't get a chance to take a break from it. You can find nuances where you get a little more freedom, but in the end you kind of have to love the process from start to finish. If you want to be the best, you have to do what other people won't do."

"A food festival means that for a certain period of time, whether it's four or five days, I eat what I want, as much as I want, all day long, from twelve o'clock at the beginning of the first day to twelve o'clock at the end of the second day. It's a feast of food."
