"I'm not training for the Olympia, I'm training to win the Olympia!" Says champion Jeremy Buendia!

Jeremy Buendia is a four-time winner of the Men's Physique Olympia competition, having dominated the division from 2014 to 2017. He thus holds the record for the most wins in this category. In 2018, he was replaced on the imaginary throne by Brandon Hendrickson, who has three victories so far, just from the 2018 edition, as well as from 2020 and 2021.

Brandon would love to add a win at this year's event as well, which would put him on par with Jeremy in the number of triumphs.

Brandon's path to victory has never been an easy one, and in 2019 he was even crossed by three opponents, the winner Raymont Edmunds, the second Andre Ferguson and the third Kyron Holden. So he, like Jeremy in 2018, had to settle for fourth. However, this did not deter him, and he returned the following year to wrestle the title back, repeating that success the following year.

It was Jeremy who had a different scenario, and after his failure in 2018, he withdrew from the competition podium. He even talked about ending his competition career. However, he was only 28 years old at the time, and it was a bit too early to retire, even if only from the sport. So many of his fans believed that they would see him on the Olympia Weekend stage again. Then in April this year, he introduced speculations about his possible comeback.

These, it seems, are now over, and have turned into reality. Jeremy shared a post on his instagram account with the caption

I'm not training for the Olympia, I'm training to win the Olympia!

It is obvious that his goal is not only to participate in the Olympia, but also to win his fifth triumph at the Men's Physique Olympia. This competition will certainly be a very interesting spectacle.

Will Jeremy Buendia be able to take his fifth victory after quite a long competition break? Or will Brandon Hendrickson match him in the number of triumphs? We won't know until December when the full Olympia Weekend for 2022 takes place.
