"I'd kill Bjornsson!" Says Martyn Ford

Last week on Saturday night, the long-awaited fight between Hafthor Björnsson and Eddie Hall took place, and Hafthor was victorious. Although the fight was almost two years in the making, it finally took place. The show was originally scheduled to take place in September last year, but due to Hall's injury, the boxing match was moved to March this year.

Both fighters gave it their all, but in the end the judges unanimously decided that Hafthor was the better boxer in the bout. Admittedly, Eddie was more of a wait-and-see guy with his right hook, waiting for the right time to take Hafthor down and land the KO. But that didn't happen and the more technical Björnsson eventually convinced the judges.

Eddie Hall's compatriot Martyn Ford was also a fan, and is expected to fight the "Iranian Hulk" next month. But right after the fight, Martyn spoke openly about taking Hafthor Björnsson down!

I'll tell you what, I'd definitely f***ing knock him out.

Although Ford still has a fight against the Iranian to come, he has spoken publicly about how he would fight the former Icelandic strongman in a heartbeat. Hafthor has weighed in on that fact and said he's focused on Hall for now, but isn't opposed to any further discussion. He subsequently stated:

"I think I'm going to crush him!"

We'll see if the fight happens or if it was just post-match banter. Either way, Eddie himself would like to fight Björnsson again in a rematch.
