Hadi Chopan - the new king of the 212lb division?
The name Hadi Chopan is already a very well-known name among fans of professional bodybuilding. Isn't it? Well, in that case, believe that it WILL be soon!
The Iranian Hadi Choopan is the one who managed to give a good wind to the then six-time Olympia 212 Showdown winner James "FLEX" Lewis at the Asia Grand Prix Pro 2017 last year!
Although he finished "only" in second place, according to many it was he who should have walked off the stage as the winner!
This even led to a stormy, in many ways quite indiscriminate discussion on social media, which Hadi himself calmed down.
In the past, Hadi has had trouble getting visas, which are required to travel to the US, where most competitions are held. Hence, he was unable to attend many of the competitions even though he wanted to. This was the case, for example, at last year's Olympia 212 Showdown.
However, he still proved his quality and potential, not only at the aforementioned Asia Grand Prix Pro 2017, but also at the Sheru Classic Dubai 2016, where he was only behind Roelly Winklaar in the OPEN category, or at the San Marino Pro 2017, where he also finished second among the heavyweights behind Cedric McMillan!
Below you can watch Hadi's almost actual training video. It was made in mid-April in Germany during the FIBO Expo sports fair.
Back then, Hadi worked on his back muscles under the guidance of the trainer behind the successes of Jay Cutler and Phil Heath, which is Hany Rambod. It was with that renowned trainer that Hadi joined forces, which certainly bodes well for big results!
