Great news: Hadi Choopan will be competing at Olympia Weekend!

The unthinkable has come true! Iranian pro Hadi Choopan has been granted the visa needed to travel to the USA by the US authorities andwill be competing at the Olympia Weekend!

The plane on which Hadi was travelling to the US landed at San Francisco International Airport on Friday afternoon. He has worked with the best of the best, such as Phil Heath and Jay Cutler, in the past, and will be preparing his client until the start of the Olympia Weekend on 13 and 14 September.

Commenting on his charge's arrival, Hany himself said:

Everyone said it couldn't be done! But it did! Hadi Choopan, the "Persian Wolf", has just landed in the USA, and will be here to prepare for the Olympics! He's hungry for success!
I would like to thank the organizers of the Olympia Weekend and the IFBB Professional League management Jim Manion for their help in arranging his visa! It was literally an epic effort that many are behind.
A special thanks to his best friends and also managers Hadi Parsafar and Mehdi Parsafar who showed tireless efforts in getting the visa.

Hany Rambod makes his way to the airport to pick up his charge Hadi Choopan:

For now, no one has indicated which of the competitions Hadi will be appearing in. After all, he qualified for both Mr. Olympia (winning the 2019 Vancouver Pro) and the Olympia 212 Showdown (winning the 2018 Asian Grand Prix)!
So it's up to him, and his coach, to decide which category he will enter. Starting at both events is not possible.

Others have also commented on Hadi Choopan's start.

More Olympia Weekend President and Chief Olympia Officer Dan Salomon said:

Hadi Choopan is a generational talent. Bodybuilding fans have waited an awfully long time to see him on the Olympia stage! But that wait will finally find its end on Friday, September 13 at the Orleans Arena.

He alluded to the fact that Hadi could have competed at Olympia last year and the year before. But unfortunately, due to the policies of US President Donald Trump, especially the visa requirements for citizens of certain countries, the door to the US was closed to him!

Jay Cutler said:

I believe that if Hadi Choopan decided to compete at Mr. Olympia, he would have a fighting chance to finish in the top 3!
