Wesley Vissers shocks everyone! He claims he beat Ramon Din at the Olympia. Now he wants to go for the title!

Wesley Vissers is definitely not the type of bodybuilder who sets small goals! The Dutch Classic Physique star has just had one of the most successful seasons of his career, but a fourth-place finish at Mr. Olympia 2026 is clearly not enough for him. In a recent interview, Vissers stated that, in his opinion, he managed to beat former champion Ramon Dino! He also confirmed his participation in two prestigious competitions in 2027 and spoke openly about his ambitions to win the world’s most famous bodybuilding trophy.

Fourth place at the Olympia? Vissers thinks he should have finished higher!

Wesley Vissers is one of the most prominent figures in the current Classic Physique category. The Dutch bodybuilder, nicknamed “The Dutch Oak” by fans, is known primarily for his massive upper body, broad shoulders, and aesthetic proportions reminiscent of bodybuilding’s golden age.

After skipping Mr. Olympia 2025, he decided to focus primarily on developing his legs, which had long been one of his weaker areas. And the results weren’t long in coming! In 2026, he dominated the prestigious Arnold Classic in Ohio; he subsequently won the Detroit Pro as well, and at the Arnold Classic UK, he was second only to his German rival Mike Sommerfeld.

The highlight of the season, however, came at Mr. Olympia 2026, where Vissers placed fourth behind Niall Darwen, Mike Sommerfeld, and Ramon Dino. It is the latter, however, who clearly has the Dutch bodybuilder on his mind. In a recent interview with Beyond the Stage TV, Vissers surprisingly stated that, in his own assessment, he should have beaten the Brazilian champion!

“I beat Ramon Dino!” Vissers explained why!

During the interview, Vissers admitted that after the competition, he closely examined individual photos and footage from their group posing sessions. And he came to an unequivocal conclusion.

“Yes, I really do think so,” he replied when asked whether, in his opinion, he was better than Ramon Dino.

He then explained that when evaluating the individual required poses, he sees several distinct strengths in his physique. According to him, he has the edge over Dino, for example, in both the front and back double bicep poses. He also considers classic posing to be one of his strengths, as it allows him to fully showcase his shoulder width and the overall proportions of his upper body. On the other hand, he admitted that the Brazilian bodybuilder has an advantage in the abs and thighs pose thanks to his narrower waist. He also believes the side chest pose is more evenly matched, though he himself needs to work on widening his stance in that pose.

Vissers is thus convinced that he displayed a better physique than his Brazilian rival in most of the required poses.

The judges, however, had a different opinion. Ramon Dino ultimately won the bronze medal, while Vissers finished in fourth place.

Arnold Classic 2027? Vissers Confirmed Two Competitions!

The controversial judging at the Olympia, however, wasn’t the only interesting topic of the interview. The Dutch bodybuilder also revealed what his competition schedule will look like for the upcoming season.

He confirmed that in 2027, he plans to compete in both the Arnold Classic Ohio and the Arnold Classic UK!

Both competitions play an important role in his preparation and could provide him with another opportunity to measure his strength against the world’s best competitors. Vissers also admitted that he had originally considered competing in the Detroit Pro, where he claimed victory this year. This time, however, the timing of the individual competitions will be the deciding factor. In his own words, he needs sufficient time between competitions to further improve his physique.

He doesn’t want to simply compete in the same form over and over again. His goal is to bring something new to each subsequent competition. And it is precisely this approach that he considers essential on his journey to the very top of Classic Physique.

He wants to become Mr. Olympia within three years!

Although Vissers has had an exceptionally successful season, his real goal remains much more ambitious.

The Dutch bodybuilder believes he can win the Mr. Olympia title in the Classic Physique division within the next three years!

However, he is well aware that the road to the top won’t be easy. The current competition is exceptionally strong. Niall Darwen won his first title this year, Mike Sommerfeld has long been among the top favorites, and Ramon Dino certainly has no intention of giving up on his ambitions. Vissers is convinced, however, that he still has room for further improvement. Above all, greater leg muscle mass, overall body balance, and even better competition form could, in his own assessment, help him surpass his current rivals.

At the same time, he emphasized that even a potential victory at both Arnold Classic competitions would not mean the end of his work.

At the Olympia, he’ll have to bring an even better physique if he truly wants to contend for the title.

Will we see a big rematch with Ramon Dine?

The rivalry between Wesley Vissers and Ramon Dino could thus be one of the most intriguing storylines of the upcoming bodybuilding season. While the Brazilian competitor will be looking to reclaim the title he lost in 2026, Vissers is eager to definitively prove that he belongs among the absolute elite. His confidence is further bolstered by this year’s victories at the Arnold Classic Ohio and the Detroit Pro, which demonstrated just how much he has improved.

One thing is certain, however. Wesley Vissers has no intention of settling for fourth place at Mr. Olympia!

If he manages to bring even more massive legs to the stage, maintain his aesthetic proportions, and improve his overall form, he could really shake up the rankings in 2027. And who knows? Maybe the Dutch “Dutch Oak” will actually get to lift the coveted Sandow trophy above his head one day!
