Wesley Vissers shares his goals for the upcoming Olympia! Will he replace Cbum?

Although open bodybuilding, where fans can look forward to massive volumes and perfect readiness, is still one of the most popular competitions among the audience, the more aesthetic classic physique category is also growing in popularity. And no wonder - after all, Cbum, who dominated the category for many years, is about to retire, and a number of athletes are already grinding their teeth to take his place. Among them is Wesley Vissers, who won the Arnold Classic and the Arnold Classic UK. And it was this handsome man who recently shared his ambitions and plans for the upcoming Olympics, where he qualified with his triumphs.

And anyone expecting Wesley to go the brutal volume route would be mistaken. Wesley is much more tempted by the idea of returning to the roots of classic bodybuilders such as the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"I want to be the only one who can pose like the fighters of that time. While not everyone may agree with that, to me Arnold is what a true classic bodybuilder is."

Wesley shared his impressions. And while he was a dark horse at the Arnold Classic that took place, after a string of victories, he made it clear to the bodybuilding world that he will be a force to be reckoned with.

However, in a recent YouTube video posted as part of the IFBB AMA podcast, he talked more about his journey. In it, among other things, he demonstrated his determination.

"I always have a timer on my phone that shows me how much time I have left. And I have exactly 205 days until the prejudging at Olympia. So I have precise control over how I can coordinate my weight to still fit within the limit," Wesley said.

The legendary Miloš Šarčev said that he is really a twin of Arnold. And although in some poses he is almost indistinguishable from Arnold, he still lacks a bit of dexterity and skill, which ultimately makes a big difference - for example, he recommended him to focus on the positions of his wrists and the various angles of each limb.

Wesley then admitted, among other things, that posing really took him a lot of time, and while he used to be as stiff as a robot, he is now getting better, but realizes that he is far from perfect. Luckily for him, he still has plenty of time to prepare, so he has no choice but to take it easy. And as fans, we can only look forward to seeing what this year's Olympia will be like.
