The strongest Czech shocks again: world record on the balance beam!

When you say "the strongest Czech of our time", most fans imagine lifting hundreds of kilograms of iron on solid ground. But Jan Jiruše, who himself weighs around 135 kilograms, decided to make his training a little harder. Right on the balance beam, he cut out the front squat with a barbell weighing 125 kilograms.

According to Jiruše, this is the heaviest front squat ever performed on a balance beam, giving him a unique world championship. A video of the feat immediately flooded social media and garnered thousands of reactions.

From skateboard to balance board

For fans who follow Jiruše regularly, this "crazy" stunt is not such a surprise. The strongman has a weakness for such experiments. Not so long ago, he stunned the internet when he lifted 300 kg on a deadlift while standing on an ordinary skateboard. As he jokingly remarked, the combination of his weight and a loaded axle made the board "the strongest skateboard in the world".

These feats are all the more impressive coming just a year after he had to put Jirusa under the knife. He tore his biceps during boxing training, which among other things ruined his planned fight with Jakub Enzl. But his recovery didn't stop him - on the contrary. He trained with one arm during the fight and came back in the shape of his life.

Numbers that give you the chills

Jiruše's standard power numbers, which are among the absolute world's best, prove that it is not just about circus stunts:

  • Squat: 400 kg
  • Bench-press: 300 kg
  • Deadlift: 442.5 kg

Jan Jiruše thus confirmed once again that whether he is standing on solid ground, on a skateboard or on a balance mat, he is among the elite who are not afraid of extreme challenges.
