"The most fun I've ever had on stage!" Says Cbum after EVLS

Chris Bumstead shines at EVLS Prague Pro 2024 outside his category

At this year's EVLS Prague Pro 2024, four-time Classic Physique champion Chris Bumstead took a bold step - competing in the prestigious Men's Open category for the first and last time. His decision to move up to the "Royal Division" attracted a lot of attention from fans and professionals alike.

During the preliminary evaluation, Bumstead took the middle position, which showed his competitiveness even in this challenging category. Although he showed great form in the final, it was not enough to win. First place went to Martin Fitzwater, who stood out with his perfect preparation and symmetry.

However, Bumstead's courageous performance left a deep impression and confirmed his status as one of the most outstanding figures in contemporary bodybuilding. Not only for fans, but for Cbum as well, this will likely be one of the most memorable moments of his life.

"For the love of the sport.
It's hard to put into words how much fun tonight was.
I'm grateful for the nerves, the excitement, everything.
It's been a while since I've been an underdog.
Probably the most fun I've ever had on stage."

After his last performance on stage, Cbum shared his feelings with us.

"My heart is so full of love right now.
I wasn't sure what I wanted to feel going into this show so life decided to show me.
It really reminded me why I love this sport so much.
The nervousness of stepping on stage, not in anticipation of winning, but of the unknown of what was to come and the deep desire to show myself at my best.
Of deciding to do something for myself, to venture into a new unknown territory knowing the odds were against me. Enjoying the effort and the journey rather than striving for the outcome.
The standards you set in life are meant to be your own, living by them is a conscious daily decision.

Thank you to everyone who came to this show, the energy was like nothing I've ever experienced before, you are amazing Prague.
And thank you @evls_prague_pro_official you put on an INCREDIBLE show, the production, the organization, just top notch."
