The Czech Customs Administration thwarted the export of anabolic steroids!

Zlín customs officers prevented the illegal export of 2,587 pieces of substances with hormonal/anabolic effect. The value of the goods amounted to almost 80 thousand crowns.

According to the findings of the customs officers, some of these substances do not have a registration for marketing in the Czech Republic issued by the State Institute for Drug Control.

The goods were seized in the second half of March during an inspection activity using a service dog. This is the second case of a similar nature within four months. The countries of destination in this case were Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Austria and Spain.

Due to the suspicion of the fulfilment of a criminal offence under Section 288 of the Criminal Code (production and other disposal of substances with hormonal effect), the findings were referred to the police authority of the customs administration for further investigation.
