Slavoj Bednar on Toronto Pro Supershow 2023:

Toronto PRO Supershow! My last fourth race of this spring! I have to say kudos and admiration to my body for what I've been loading it with and asking for so many years in a row, I don't even want to count anymore. During the finals today, Ross, the California winner, and I exchanged a few sentences, and by the way, this is my 26th year in a row on the boards, and how old I am. He totally didn't get it and thought I was like him, 32.

It's gratifying, but I also know how terribly hard it's already been to make it next to the top pros full of young guys and great talent! Nevertheless, I fought to the max here!! I revolved around the middle of the second callout, because the first one was really crowded, led by Hassan, Ian and just Ross, supplemented by young Canadians. And the whole field of 14 fighters was really worth it! At races like this, even a Top 10 just counts as a great result! No more stretching...I'm taking home 8th place from Toronto and I have to be happy! And most importantly! I'm really looking forward to going home! Thank you all so much!!
