Samson Dauda lashes out at criticism of Nick Walker: "You win or you lose, that's it!"

Tensions have risen between Nick Walker and Samson Dauda. On December 29, 2024, Dauda responded to Walker's words that he had "left the back door open" on his way to his first title shot at Olympia in October.

"The Mutant" withdrew from the 2023 Olympia due to injury. His bad luck carried over into the 2024 competition season when he withdrew from the next Mr. Olympia. He and his former trainer Matt Jansen confirmed that his body was not ready for the stage.

In the meantime, Dauda reached peak form and became the new Mr. Olympia champion. Although he was able to defeat Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford to win the Sandow trophy, Nick Walker was still not completely convinced of his dominance after this triumph.

"I could say that if Samson ever came completely dry,I almost think he could be in very unbeatable form, we just haven't seen him like that yet. That's why I said he deserved to win the Olympia and I've said it a million times, but he still left the door open a little bit. " Walker shared his impressions.

Dauda disagreed with Walker's statement and stressed, "You either win or you lose, that's the end of it."

"Is the plan to come in in better shape and close the door because everyone said I didn't slam it at Olympia? Dude, I don't know what it is to slam and close or kick the door, whatever.

Dude, you either win the show or you lose the show, that's the end of it. No more slamming doors, no more holding doors. This is a fucking competition, the jury picks who wins."

Looking ahead, Dauda plans to improve his conditioning and various muscle groups.

"This is how it's going to go. Once you do that, you've won the show, you've won the show. I find it funny when people start saying he didn't slam the door, but he actually closed it. He won, didn't he?

Yeah, you did. That's it, that's it, that's it. You know what? The plan is always that we're gonna be better for the next show. Always, always be better for the next show, not just better condition, but we always want to improve everything," Dauda shares his feelings.
