As you can see from the above list of winners, "only" 20 fighters have beaten this competition in its 35 years of existence. Some of them have left the podium several times as winners. Historically, the most successful fighter of this competition is Dexter Jackson, who dominated this spectacular competition 5 times in total, in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2013 and 2015.
Right behind him is Flex Wheeler with four triumphs in 1993, 1997, 1998 and 2000. Two fighters have three wins from this event, Jay Cutler in 2002, 2003 and 2004, and Kai Greene, who reigned supreme in 2009, 2010 and 2016. Kevin Levrone (1994 and 1996), Branch Warren (2011 and 2012), William Bonac (2018 to 2020), and Brandon Curry (2020 and 2022) each have two winning starts.
Oh, and this year may see another bodybuilder notching his second win at the Arnold Classic, and quite possibly not his last. This year's 36th edition of the competition will feature the reigning Mr. Olympia winner Samson Dauda, who triumphed at the Arnold Classic in 2023. According to many, it's quite certain that Samson will have no problem getting his second triumph!
Below you can see not only his form nine weeks before the start of the Arnold Classic 2025.
