Ronnie Coleman on fighting death: 'My heart was only working at 20%!'

Ronnie Coleman, bodybuilding legend and eight-time Mr. Olympia winner, recently faced serious health problems that brought him to the brink of death. He was hospitalized and put into artificial sleep after he developed sepsis, a life-threatening bloodstream infection.

According to reports, Coleman's condition was so serious that doctors had to put him on a breathing machine. The cause was septic shock, which dramatically worsened his condition. In addition, examinations revealed that his heart was working at only 20% of its capacity, necessitating immediate surgical intervention. Coleman therefore underwent minimally invasive heart surgery.

After his release from the hospital, Coleman himself admitted that he had neglected regular medical checkups for the past two years. Despite these serious health complications, he has not lost his optimism and determination. His goal is to walk again without any assistance by 2027. He is now fully committed to rehabilitation, which includes various therapies, pool exercises and gym workouts.

Ronnie Coleman continues to be a huge inspiration to fans around the world and his fight against adversity is further proof of his indomitable will.
