Patrik Kincl gave Karlos Vemola a good beating!

The OKTAGON 43 tournament is already in the past and the most awaited match Kincl vs Vémola 2, for which the domestic scene has been waiting for 5 years, knows its winner. Throughout the match Karlos tried to assert his own, which he failed to do against a very well prepared Kincl. Although many were waiting for some proper KO's, the match was eventually finished on points. All three judges unanimously agreed that Kincl was the better fighter in this fight, as he gave Vemola a good facial mauling.

"My first words? It was obviously a long journey, which aroused a lot of emotions not only in me, but also in you. Today, of course, I came for the finish, but it didn't work out. However, we switched to a tactic where it worked and where I didn't feel threatened. Mostly I beat Karl at his own game. That's an even bigger win than if I had shut him down here in the first round. The damage you do to your opponent is what makes the difference. So are the punches. He was rolling on the wall after me and working, but he wasn't really doing anything. He was hung up on me and that was just enough. I was gradually closing him down and I trusted the referee to see it the same way and score it the same way. That's Karl's style, that's how he fights, unless you get him someone he can make a name for himself in the first round. You'll get a similar spectacle in other fights with evenly matched opponents, I think."

Unfortunately, Karlos Vémola didn't offer any reaction, because he left the cage right after the fight and didn't come to the press conference, so we'll have to wait a while for the first words after the loss.
