Nick Walker issues a stern warning ahead of Tampa Pro 2026: “I’m not just coming to win—I’m coming to destroy them!”
Bodybuilding superstar Nick “The Mutant” Walker is definitely not holding back and is brimming with confidence ahead of his next competition. In a recent video, he sent a clear message to his competitors at the upcoming 2026 Tampa Pro: He plans to completely dominate, shock the stage, and secure his qualification for Mr. Olympia in the best shape of his life.
The “Mutant’s” Return and the Battle for Olympia
After last year’s Mr. Olympia 2025, where Nick failed to live up to high expectations and “only” finished in sixth place, some fans had given up on him. This was followed by a split with his longtime coach, Kyle Wilkes. But Walker didn’t let that get him down, and this past March at the 2026 Arnold Classic, he made an impressive comeback, earning a fantastic second-place finish in a close and thrilling battle with Andrew Jacked.
However, Nick still hasn’t secured his ticket to this year’s Olympia. He’s decided to change that at the upcoming Tampa Pro (July 30–August 1), where he’s training under a new coach. And with less than seven weeks to go before the competition, his mindset shows he’s ready for battle.

“I want everyone to see the huge difference”
In a video he posted on his YouTube channel, Walker clearly outlined his expectations and didn’t hold back at all. Although he expressed respect for his opponents, he wants to show the world that he’s in a completely different league.
“I’m not underestimating anyone—I’ll say that right off the bat—but I’m not just going there to win... I’m going there to destroy them. I want to humiliate everyone. I want everyone to see that there’s a huge, chasm-like difference between me and my opponents. And I say this with all due respect to everyone who steps onto the stage,” Walkerdeclared resolutely.
Walker wants to showcase his best performance to date in Tampa, which he would then build upon at the Olympia itself.
“There will be a huge gap. In every training cycle, I train to be 100% ready, and that’s exactly what I plan to do in Tampa. Then I want to be even better for the Olympia,” he added.
It Won't Be a Walk in the Park: Jo Palacios Is Set to Take the Stage
Although the official entry list for Tampa hasn’t been released yet, it’s already clear that “Mutant” won’t have an empty stage. Another dangerous mass monster, Jo Palacios, has confirmed his participation.
Bodybuilding legends and experts, such as coach Chris Aceto and Lee Priest, are warning Nick that victory isn’t a sure thing unless he’s in 100% shape.
“It could be very close. If Nick messes up, Jo will be standing there ready,” Lee Priest warned. “Normally, when Nick competes, there’s no one who can match his ‘freaky’ muscle mass. But Jo and he are quite similar in terms of this extreme size. It’s going to be damn interesting.”
One thing is certain—Nick Walker has his head on straight, and his form is picking up steam. Will he back up his confident words in Florida and sweep the competition off the stage? Stay tuned to our website—the Tampa Pro 2026 is coming soon!
