Liver King is free! The charges for Rogan's threats have been dropped

On November 13, 2025, the Travis County Criminal Court Deputy for MMA Fighting confirmed that the criminal prosecution against Brian Johnson, widely known as Liver King, has been dismissed.

The whole situation escalated in June when Johnson traveled to Austin, Texas, where Joe Rogan lives, and began posting a series of disturbing videos on Instagram in which he challenged Rogan to a fight and made bizarre threats.

Joe Rogan's security team was concerned about Johnson's behavior and contacted police to prevent a possible escalation. The police, after viewing Liver King's clips, concluded that the influencer may have been experiencing a "mental health episode" and could pose a danger to himself or others. Johnson was subsequently arrested.

Bail $20,000 and silence on social media

After a $20,000 bail was posted for the Liver King, he was largely silent on social media. Although he has not yet issued any official statement regarding this legal victory, it is a significant development in his ongoing legal cases.

Background: steroids and million-dollar lawsuits

This drama with Rogan came at a time when the Liver King was dealing with a massive exodus of fans and legal problems after he was exposed. He had previously built a huge online empire based on promoting a so-called "ancestral lifestyle" that included eating raw organ meat, bull testicles and raw eggs. His massive physique was presented as a result of the nine pillars of his lifestyle.

Public opinion changed radically after leaked emails confirmed that the Liver King was taking steroids and spending over $10,000 a month on growth hormone. Although he later admitted to lying, he is now facing several lawsuits from "duped" fans, one of which has reached $25 million. Some argue that the influencer tricked customers into thinking his physique could be achieved without the use of banned substances.
