Larry Wheels revealed he's in the hospital, what happened to him?

Larry Wheels has been going through a lot lately, as instead of his usual focus on developing his strength, building an incredible physique, he is now opening his first public gym. Unfortunately, all the time Larry has invested in his gym has led to significant setbacks. In fact, it was even something that could have turned deadly. In fact, on July 25, Larry shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed with IVs in his veins. Moreover, in the caption of the post, Larry revealed that he had been diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis, a rare condition that has been fatal in some cases.

Rhabdomyolysis is a condition in which muscle cells become damaged and break down. This can cause the release of myoglobin, a protein normally found in muscles, into the blood. Myoglobin can damage the kidneys and can lead to kidney failure. Other symptoms of rhabdomyolysis include muscle pain, weakness, dark-coloured urine and fever. Rhabdomyolysis can be caused by a number of factors, including:

  • Trauma
  • Excessive exercise
  • Heatstroke
  • Infection
  • Medications
  • Intoxication
  • Metabolic disorders

CrossFit and UFC athletes are among the most common people who get rhabdo due to high-intensity workouts. So Larry Wheels ended up with rhabdomyolysis as a result of his intense efforts in the gym. It's not a big surprise though, as he went all out in preparation for his debut in classic bodybuilding. He also recently revealed what exactly drew him to this division of bodybuilding.

In preparation for his Classic Bodybuilding debut, Larry Wheels teamed up with William Bonac to get some posing tips. Larry then also revealed that his coach assured him that nothing would be needed besides TRT to be competitive in the Classic Bodybuilding division. This seemed to be correct because Larry's physique looked incredible in every update he shared.
