Josef Květoň targets a monstrous 140 kg after disappointment at EVLS!

We followed Josef Květon's story at this year's EVLS Prague Pro with excitement. From the determination to start with a torn pectoral muscle to the subsequent disappointment with the result, which we wrote about in our last article. Now Pepa is following the competition on his Instagram with a picture, but his thoughts are already on his next preparation. And it promises some big numbers.

Josef Květoň posted a series of pictures from the EVLS stage, taken by photographer Ady Večera. These photos remind us once again of the form he was able to bring to the boards despite injury and training downtime. While the pictures are a memory of the past race, the text that Pepa added to them is purely about the future.

Two more weeks of relaxation

Although it might seem like a long break will follow such a tough season and injury, Květon is already slowly looking towards a return to the iron.

"2 more weeks of rest from hard training," he writes in the post.

This time is necessary to give the body - and especially the injured muscle - room to recover before the next hard slog begins.

Mission: 140 kg and groin attack

Once the rest is over, the Czech pro plans to hit the pedals. The main goal of the upcoming volume phase is to gain brutal mass.

"We will start a volume where I will try to get over 140 kg," he revealed his ambitions.

However, it's not just about the number on the scale. Pepa is aware of the reserves that cost him a better placing at the competition and intends to work on them. So his training plan will specifically target his biggest weaknesses. It seems that the 2025 season is over and Josef Kvyeton is ready to do everything to come bigger and more complete than ever on the podium next time.
