Jakub Enžl starts his diet and preparation for EVLS Prague in one month!

As you know, Jakub Enžl was preparing for his first competition and many of us were looking forward to see Jakub's form at the EVLS Prague Amateur 2022. But Jakub shared on his Instagram just before the competition that he was having health problems. Somewhere in the back of our minds, we were all hoping that things would get better and Kuba would take his great form to the boards. However, Enjl issued a statement on his social media that he really won't be participating after all due to his ongoing health problems.

"I don't have good news. I won't be competing at the EVLS Prague Amateur 2022 on Saturday. As I mentioned on stories, I was hit pretty hard on Sunday with indigestion, which left me with no food or water left in me, but I told myself there was still plenty of time before the race, I went on a fast and hoped it would be fixed in 1-2 days, unfortunately it didn't happen and the same pattern has been going on all week. I just laid at home, had no movement, mainly replenished fluids, electrolytes and ate little things like chicken broth, a piece of bread, biscuits and some medication to boot. I know it would be unwise to break it over my knee and go racing at all costs, so I decided to prioritize my health. I'm sorry to you too, I didn't want to let you down, you kept me going all the way and even when I had the finish line in my sights, it went to shit (literally).

Anyway, I know a lot of you have bought tickets, so I'll definitely be at EVLS at least as a spectator and mostly to see you, so don't be afraid to come by for a photo, to chat, whatever, I'll be there for you that day!

I wanted to summarize it here in a nutshell, but you can get the full version on YouTube. Thank you all for your understanding. I'll be back,"Jakub postedon his instagram.

However, a photo recently appeared on Jakub's Instagram saying that he is starting his diet and preparation for the EVLS Prague Amateur 2023 in a month's time, which will take place during the weekend of 17-18 November. So we can assume that if everything goes well, we could see Engel on the competition stage this year!
