From beer and steaks, straight back into the game! Križo is getting into brutal shape just 7 weeks before the Olympics

Do you remember that weekend in May when Michal “Križo” Križánek completely dominated the Pittsburgh Pro and blew everyone away with his improved form? Right after the competition, he cheerfully announced that he was going to treat himself to a well-deserved beer, some steaks, and a little rest. Well, that break is clearly long gone, and preparations for the highlight of the season are already in full swing!

Just one look at his latest physique in the photo makes it clear that Križo is dead serious about challenging for the top spots at Mr. Olympia this year. Experts at RX Muscle predicted after his triumph in Pittsburgh that he was a hot contender for the top six, and this latest update fully confirms their assessment.

Michal „Križo“ Križánek

The popular @bodybuildingtotal account shared a recent photo of him, and it’s absolutely mind-blowing. There are roughly seven and a half weeks left until Olympia 2026, and the Slovak giant looks absolutely massive in it. But what’s even more important—he’s already showing incredible hardness and an excellent level of definition. In fact, that’s exactly what his rival Wesley Vissers praised him for this past spring.

This photo simply commands respect. The page aptly notes in the caption that with a “package” like this, Križo could give the elite on stage a real run for their money. If the final phase of his preparation with coach George Faraah goes just as smoothly and without complications as it did this spring, we have a lot to look forward to this fall. This is going to be a great show!

The Catch with Brutal Training (and How to Handle It)

Building a physique as massive and hard as Michal’s is, understandably, painful. The extreme workouts and relentless diet required to reach this level put an enormous strain on the body. You might know this feeling from your own training: you finish a grueling session, can barely make it to the locker room, and your muscles are completely wrecked.

If your body doesn’t get the nutrients it needs to repair itself immediately after such a workout, your muscles won’t grow, recovery will slow down, and you’ll just end up needlessly overtrained. Especially during the most demanding phases of training, your body literally craves fast-acting nutrients. But few people have the appetite or energy to force down a full meal right after a grueling workout.

The solution, however, is quite simple. To ensure your muscles don’t stay “hungry” and recovery begins before you even have time to cool down, simply mix up a scoop of high-quality protein right after your workout. Unlike solid food, high-quality whey protein is absorbed immediately, won’t burden your already tired stomach, and will provide your damaged muscles with exactly the amino acids they need at that moment for rapid repair and growth.

Whether you’re preparing for the world stage like Križo or just want to take your gym performance to the next level, don’t underestimate the importance of post-workout recovery. Train hard, rest smart, and fuel your body with the best building blocks!
