Fake steroids for athletes?! Walker, Clarida, Wilkin and Eriya are quitting with coach Matt Jansen!

Nick Walker, one of the biggest stars of the current bodybuilding scene, recently shocked the fitness world with his decision to end his partnership with his longtime trainer Matt Jansen. However, this breakup isn't the only dramatic change in Jansen's team, as Eriya, Clarida and Wilkin have all severed their association with Jansen following serious allegations of fake steroids!

The break-up and the allegations of fake drugs (steroids)

Walker commented on the breakup, saying that he and Jansen had considered at length what was best for his career.

"My body was showing fatigue and I knew that wasn't what I wanted to present on the Mr. Olympia stage," Walker said. "I needed to give my body a break so it could recover."

On the other hand, Quinton Eriya came forward with the shocking accusation that Jansen allegedly provided fake steroids to as many as eleven athletes.

"Matt told eleven different athletes that they were using fake supplements to cover up mistakes in their preparations,"

Eriya said. These allegations rocked not only Jansen's team, but also the wider bodybuilding community, where speculation began to mount about how much of an impact these practices had on the careers of his charges.

The reaction of the bodybuilding community

The move prompted other athletes to comment on the situation. Martin Fitzwater, another athlete who worked with Jansen, stated, "They both bear their share of the blame" for how their collaboration turned out.
