Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson responds to allegations of steroid use

Hollywood icon and fitness role model, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, has recently become the target of speculation regarding steroid use. This was due to new photos of him at the Venice Film Festival, where he appeared with a visibly slimmer figure than his fans are used to. The change immediately sparked a wave of speculation on social media.

It all started with an Instagram post by Alex Diago, who suggested that the loss of muscle mass was due to the withdrawal of anabolic steroids. "The Rock has shrunk. He stopped taking steroids," read the post, which quickly gained attention.

It didn't leave even Johnson himself cold. He decided to respond directly in the comments section and firmly shut down any speculation. "This is 100% not true," he wrote clearly and concisely.

In his post, Diago also alluded to Johnson's medical condition, specifically his heart. The Rock previously admitted in a podcast with Mark Hyman that initial tests showed possible heart problems. However, after seeking a second medical opinion and further detailed tests, it was revealed that his heart was perfectly fine.

So why did The Rock lose muscle?

The reason is simple and quite common in the acting world - finished preparing and shooting a new movie role. Johnson recently finished work on a movie called "The Smashing Machine", where he portrayed the main character. Physical transformations are a common part of the job for an actor of his caliber, and this character change was related to the demands of his appearance for this particular role.

Even at 53 years old, Dwayne Johnson remains one of the most muscular actors in Hollywood. He attributes his physique to hard work and discipline, not banned substances. As he himself added, his main priority now is to maintain robust health.
