Derek Lunsford shares incredible body transformation

Lunsford burst onto the scene in 2017 when he won the Tampa Pro, earning him his first qualification for the Olympia in the men's 212lbs category. He continued to climb the rankings in that division over the next four years before winning his first Olympia in 2021. Since then, Lunsford has continued to improve his physique. Last year, he even earned an invitation to Mr. Olympia, where he eventually placed second, which is considered a really big accomplishment and many speculate on when this fighter will be able to win Olympia.

He could also show his potential at this year's Arnold Classic, where Derek was invited. In the end, however, he decided not to take part in the race because of his health, which he would put at too great a risk.

"I feel it's a decision I can't make alone, but with my wife, because there's a lot of money involved. For me as a professional who loves the sport, the Arnold Classic is a prestigious title. I had the full support of my wife in whatever direction I wanted to go. But her main condition was that she wanted me to be healthy. That always came first for her. I started thinking about the Arnold Classic title, a lot of money with only a few months to go. But then I started thinking about what our ultimate goal was. The ultimate goal is to be Mr. Olympia and build the absolute best physique I can while maintaining my current health."

In a recent Instagram post, Derek Lunsford shared the incredible physical transformation, comparing his older look to his current form, where fans can see that he has clearly gained a significant amount of muscle mass over the course of his career.
