Czech weightlifters went naked for the calendar!

They want to demonstrate that they're not monsters... The calendar of Czech female weightlifters combines fragile beauty with heavy iron, and as we celebrate the anniversary year, the female athletes decided not to hesitate and strip naked.

"I have been toying with the idea of creating a charity calendar with nudes for about five years. And now that we're celebrating our tenth anniversary, I thought it was the right time for it,"

Julie Švecová (39), a weightlifter and world judo champion from Vilémov in Olomouc, told the daily Blesk. Twelve female athletes from all over the Czech Republic took part in the photo shoot during the summer.

When asked how difficult it was to convince them to undress, Julie, who herself stood in front of the lens in the guise of Eva, explained:

"Each of us has a different limit of shyness in a different place. There are weightlifters who refused to be photographed and clothed, and on the other hand, those who I knew would be willing to go nude."

They help the needy

The calendars of Czech weightlifters have a charitable purpose, and that is also true this year.

"Some of them will be auctioned off, and the proceeds will go to charity," Švecová said, adding,"We plan to raise additional funds, again to help the needy, by selling calendars signed by all the models."

In addition to the black and white nudes for the calendar, several colour photographs were also taken.

"Some of them will be put into the auction and some will be added to the calendars as a bonus," revealed Julie Švecová.
