Czech weightlifters in front of the lens again!

It is a tradition that Czech weightlifting fans look forward to every year. Strong women, dumbbells and artistic photography. But this year's twelfth edition of the Czech weightlifting charity calendar is different. This time it's not "just" about the exposed bodies of female athletes, but a celebration of motherhood associated with top sport.

If you follow our column regularly, you will remember the previous editions, when the Czech representatives did not hesitate to throw off their outerwear to demolish the myths that weightlifting takes away women's femininity. This year, the project goes even further. The theme for 2025 is clear: The Beauty of Moms.

Twelve years of breaking down preconceptions

As in previous years, weightlifter Julie Švecová is behind the project. She decided to dedicate this year's calendar to women who manage to combine the demanding care of a family with hard training and love for iron.

"We wanted to show that even moms can be strong, beautiful and fit. That motherhood does not mean the end of sporting ambitions, but on the contrary a new chapter in life," says the team of weightlifters.

Water, nature and feminine power

While in the past the photos were taken in dusty gyms or industrial halls, this year's visual relies on the purity of nature. The shoot took place outdoors, by water and rocks, giving the photos a softness and naturalness that contrasts with the physical strength these women possess.

The result is twelve artistic black and white photographs that prove that muscle and motherhood go well together.

Help that makes sense

But the most important thing remains the same as in previous years - the charitable dimension. Proceeds from the sale of the calendar don't go into the pockets of the models, but go to where the need is greatest. This year the weightlifters will support the Fund for Children at Risk - Klokánek in Dolní Benešov. By buying the calendar, you will not only get a stylish addition to your wall (or a great gift for fitness enthusiasts), but you will directly help children who were not so lucky in life.
