Chris Bumstead is about to defend his fifth title in monstrous fashion!

Chris Bumstead update

Although he is not the official Mr. Olympia in the Open category, you would be hard pressed to find a fan who doesn't know the name Chris Bumstead. Bumstead has racked up a total of four wins at the Classic Physique Olympia and continues to break barriers as an athlete. In a recent Instagram post he shared on October 21, 2023, "Cbum" sent a message to all his followers , "Consistency is no accident."

Bumstead's rise in the league is unparalleled thanks to his likable demeanor and enviable physique. He took the Classic Physique Olympia title from Breon Ansley in 2019 and has successfully defended it ever since. Last year, he prevented rivals Urs Kalecki and Ramon Queiroz from reaching the throne thanks to his massive musculature.

Bumstead has faced obstacles ahead of his fourth title defense. His brother-in-law Iain Valliere stopped training him, however, which led to Bumstead teaming up with bodybuilding coach Hany Rambod. This decision proved to be a prudent one, as Bumstead was able to win the 2022 Olympia with a torn biceps. Now he has joined Hany by commenting under the aforementioned post with the encouraging sentence "It's time to use those extra two pounds. ??", so we can look forward to a much bigger Cbum this year!

Can anyone stop Chris Bumstead from winning his fifth Classic Physique Olympia title?

Every year it's the same old same old, lots of speculation and names that could beat the current champion, but when it comes to the day, there's no denying that Chris always brings absolutely dominating form that he can fine tune and show to a tee. The question though is, will he be just that little bit better again and will he escape the form of those hungry young riders like Ramon or Urs? Let's be surprised, but as Chris himself often says " In the end it's always me versus me" and we will find out in just 8 days!
