Chris Bumstead becomes part owner of Gymshark!

Chris Bumstead, bodybuilding icon and five-time Mr. Olympia champion in the Classic Physique category, has a long-standing relationship with Gymshark. The British sportswear and equipment manufacturer first sponsored him in 2018, just before his first triumph at Mr. Olympia. Since then, Bumstead has earned a huge following not only for his performances on stage, but also for his active social media presence, where he inspires millions of fans around the world.

In 2024, however, Bumstead took a big step forward and became co-owner of Gymshark. This new partnership comes after several years of building his own brand, and Bumstead has returned to Gymshark with enthusiasm. In his own words, he was drawn to Gymshark's vision of "bringing fitness to the world," which aligns perfectly with his personal goals and passion for the fitness community. Bumstead believes this collaboration will allow him to help Gymshark reach an even wider audience and inspire people to adopt an active lifestyle.

In addition to this business venture, Bumstead continues to prepare for Mr. Olympia 2024, where he will compete for his sixth Classic Physique title. As he says, this competition may be the pinnacle of his career, prompting speculation of his possible retirement from competitive bodybuilding.

"At this stage of my career I was lucky enough to be offered some really exciting opportunities, but I knew that if I was going to get involved in any business again it had to be with the right people and for the right reasons.

When Gymshark presented me with their vision of becoming the brand that would bring fitness to the world, I knew that if I was going to work with anyone, it had to be them.
