Big Ramy announces a possible comeback!
Mamdouh "Big Ramy" Elssbiay, a two-time Mr. Olympia winner, announced that there is an 80% chance that he will return to the Mr. Olympia stage in 2025. This news comes after his most recent appearance at the 2023 Arnold Classic, where he placed fourth behind strong competition including Samson Dauda, Andrew Jacked and Nick Walker.
The road back to the top
After losing the Mr. Olympia title, new champions emerged in the years that followed. In 2022, Hadi Choopan won the title, passing it to his teammate Derek Lunsford in 2023. In October 2024, Samson Dauda became champion, becoming the 19th man to win the Sandow trophy.

Big Ramy has faced problems with latissimus dorsi and triceps definition in the past, which led to the use of stem cell therapy. Now, however, he suggests he's ready for a comeback.
Big Ramy's statement
In a recent Instagram post, Big Ramy said.
"I'm trying my best to come back but I have to come back without any problems. That's my goal and I need to get back on stage, I need to be stronger than before. If I can't come back with what I need, I don't like to go on stage anymore."
He further added.
"I'm trying my best to be at Olympia this year. I have fixed a lot of problems with my muscles. I can't say 100%, but I can say 80% that I will be back on stage this year. I will try, I will try."
The possibility of a historic comeback
If Big Ramy returns and regains the Mr. Olympia title, he will become the second bodybuilder in history to reach the top again after losing the title, after Jay Cutler. The Mr. Olympia 2025 competition takes place from October 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see if Big Ramy will indeed return to the stage.
