While most people his age are thinking about a peaceful retirement, Milos Sarcev continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible. On January 21, he posted recent photos on his Instagram that immediately went viral in the fitness community.

A physique that defies the laws of aging

In the posted photo, Sarcev struck the “most muscular” pose, showcasing his still-impressive arm definition and shoulder separation. He added a simple but apt caption to the photo: “Just stepped out of the posing room. 62,” accompanied by muscle emojis and the Serbian flag.

Although Sarcev hasn’t competed professionally for years (his career peaked in the 1990s and he won the Mr. Universe title in 1989), he clearly sticks to his lifelong credo. He still follows a strict diet and a regular training regimen.

Sarcev’s post sparked a wave of excitement among his colleagues and former rivals. The comments section featured names that are household names in bodybuilding:

In recent years, Milos Sarcev has been known primarily as a top-tier coach. He played a major role in the success of Samson Dauda, whom he guided to the Mr. Olympia title in 2024. In addition, he is a regular co-host on the popular Cutler Cast podcast with Jay Cutler, where they discuss current events in the fitness world.

His current physique, however, is a reminder that Sarcev is not just a theorist hiding behind charts. He is a practitioner who leads by example. He thus ranks alongside other legends such as Lee Labrada (65) and Jay Cutler, who, even in their 50s and 60s, keep their bodies in admirable shape and thus inspire future generations to achieve longevity in the sport.
