Age is just a number! Legendary MMA fighter Bob Sapp (50) made his debut among bodybuilders!

Legendary American wrestler Bob Sapp has been through many different sports in his career. He started out as an American football player, but gradually worked his way up through boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and even spent quite a bit of time as a professional in mixed martial arts. Moreover, this year he celebrated his 50th birthday and made his first ever appearance on stage among bodybuilders when he showed off good posing skills in addition to his current muscularity at a competition in Korea.

It should be noted that while Sapp has great genetics for a variety of sports, he probably wasn't born for bodybuilding. Of course, his waist looks quite wide in some poses and with his 6'3" height, he also far outweighs most of the competitors in the starting field. But that doesn't change the fact that showing up on the podium for the first time at the age of fifty, and at an incredible 104 kilograms to boot, is simply admirable.

Aside from a slightly unsightly waistline, Bob Sapp has good credentials to become a successful bodybuilder in his age group. For example, the separation and shape of his quadriceps could be the envy of many younger competitors.

Moreover, it is evident from the performance that Bob is an exhibitionist by and large and enjoys being in front of the audience. In fact, some of you may remember an old video from a few years ago in which he was competing against a bear in a cage with which he was tugging on the Plexiglas.

At the same time, this is not the first time that bodybuilding and mixed martial arts have intertwined quite substantially. Recently, for example, the ageless Mike O'Hearn accepted an offer to fight legendary UFC fighter Quinton Jackson, and we may very well see them face each other this summer.
