EVLS Prague Pro 2018 - the seventh edition of the Prague show was dominated by Roelly Winklaar!
On 28th and 29th September, the PVA Expo Prague fairgrounds became the venue of the biggest sports festival on the old continent called EVLS Prague Showdown, which also includes a competition of male bodybuilding professional categories OPEN and up to 212 pounds. We will take a look at these through the paragraphs below.
OPEN category:
Although this competition is held very shortly after the Olympia Weekend each year and could attract a larger number of top level fighters, unfortunately this has not happened yet. There were "only" three fighters who presented on the stage of this year's Mr. Olympia competition, namely Roelly Winklaar, Nathan De Asha and our Lukas Osladil.
Why is the word JEN in quotation marks? Because even though this number might seem small, there were also 11 other very good fighters on the stage, and what's more, three of them were home fighters!
Apart from the aforementioned Lukáš, there was also the duo of Slavoj Bednář and Pavel Beran, who made their professional debut on stage. And it should be noted that both of them had a lot to offer both the audience and the judges!
It was evident right from the beginning of the semi-final fights, where the foursome of Roelly Winklaar, Nathan De Asha, Lukáš Osladil and the debuting Pavel Beran stood side by side in the first semi-final comparison at the request of the judges! The spectators got into the swing of things right from the start, creating a fantastic atmosphere for the competitors.
Winklaar and De Asha were posing in the middle of the line, so the duel for the victory was fought by Winklaar and De Asha, our fighters Lukáš and Pavel were fighting for the third place.
Semi-final duels:
The clear winner was the defending champion of last year's triumph, Roelly Winklaar, who is not only monstrous, but has also visibly worked on his symmetry since last year and has a much more elegant mid-body. This improvement not only earned him a third place at this year's Mr. Olympia, but also a triumph at EVLS.
Second place, as expected, went to Nathan De Asha, who has full and round muscles. In terms of frontal poses, he could very boldly compete with Roelly. However, the same cannot be said about the back stances, where he lost significantly to his opponent.
Third place went to Lukáš Osladil. He, by default, offers the best back poses across the entire current bodybuilding scene, or some of the most impressive free sets.
Unfortunately, the debutant Pavel Beran, who made his debut among professionals exactly two years ago, when he dominated the EVLS Prague Amateur, did not make it into the TOP 3.
But Pavel doesn't have to despair. On stage he showed not only perfect form, but also decent volumes! It is obvious that he hides a huge potential in himself, and in the future he will certainly be a significant rival even to the best competitors!
The top 5 was closed by British Samson Dauda. He too made his first start here, and he was a very pleasant surprise. The judges praised his elegant shape combined with his narrow waist.
Sixth place went to James Hollingshead.
Seventh place was earned by another local fighter Slavoj Bednar from the judges in his debut start. His strengths were excellent readiness and full, rounded muscles. ,
The eighth man on the results list was Igor Illés from Slovakia.

Categories up to 212 pounds:
Seven fighters presented themselves on the stage in this category, including our Vojta Koritensky, who appeared in front of the home crowd for the first time.
All the competitors stood next to each other in the first semi-final comparison, but unfortunately our fighter was not one of the favourites. In the middle of the line posed the trio of Tomas Tabachar, Angel Calderón Frias and Samir Troudi.
The second comparison was then attended only by the pair of Tomas Tabačiar and Angel Calderón Frias, who fought for the victory.
In the end, the triumph went to the powerful Angel Calderón Frias with the best pectoral muscles.
The second place was earned by the Slovak competitor Tomáš Tabačiar, who was clearly the best prepared competitor in the starting field.
If he had been declared the winner, no one would have had the slightest objection.
Samir Troudi, with his full and rounded muscles, rounded out the top three.
Fourth was Vahid Baharlou.
The top 5 was closed by the name of the home fighter Vojta Koritensky, who certainly, considering the home ground, hoped for a better result.
RESULTS:
1. Angel Calderón Frias- qualified for Olympia 212 Showdown 2019
2. Tomáš Tabačiar
3. Samir Troudi
4. Vahid Baharlou
