Essa Obaid and Florian Poirson ahead of the 2020 British Grand Prix

Professional bodybuilders Essa Obaid and Florian Poirson are among the representatives of Jim Manion's IFBB Professional League who are preparing for the 2020 British Grand Prix.
This competition was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 7, but that will not be the case!

In fact, for the last few days the epidemiological situation around Coronavirus Covid-19 in England has been worsening, which has necessitated new, even stricter restrictions. The most significant one, which the government has made and announced, is a full-scale closure of England, which is due to be in force from Thursday 5 November!

So Ian Constable, the promoter of this event, had only two options. Either cancel it or try to move it to a closer date.
The second option won out, and so the contest should take place tomorrow!

This date is of course very limited, not only from the point of view of the organisers, who have to urgently arrange venues, photographers, cameramen and other backroom security for the competitors, but also from the point of view of the competitors themselves!
They have their preparation planned until the last hour so as to bring the best possible forms to the podium, which is of course significantly complicated by moving ahead of the front!

It's not even certain then whether competitors living outside England will be able to move to the venue so early! This includes the likes of Essa Obaid from the United Arab Emirates, and Florian Poirson from France, whose forms a few days before they take to the podium are offered below.

Essa Obaid - form 8 days before the original date of the British Grand Prix 2020

Florian Poirson - form 9 to 11 days before the original date of the 2020 British Grand Prix
