Author: British strongman Eddie (Edward) Hall, who goes by the nickname "The Beast", is one of the strongest men on the planet. The proof of this is the title of the strongest man in the world in 2017, when he dominated the World's Strongest Man competition.
Eddie was absent from this year's edition of the competition, making the path to the title easier for Iceland's Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, nicknamed Thor.
Eddie decided to skip the competition, hoping to work on losing a few kilos and take his performance up a level.
Next year he plans to return, and take back the title of the strongest man on the planet!
