Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson shares his favorite inspirational quote with a post-workout photo
You may have recently seen an article on our magazine in which we pointed out the really massive quadriceps shown by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. This 49 year old actor, despite his 'advanced' age, remains active, lively and in great shape to boot! Well, do you know any other 50-somethings who look as monstrous as The Rock? Probably not many, right... That's one of the reasons why Dwayne is followed by around 277 million fans on Instagram, for whom he shares his workouts, current projects and all sorts of tips.
But people don't just look up to Dwayne for his looks and amazing fitness, they also look up to him for his drive when it comes to his work ethic. Well, managing as many activities as this actor has in his schedule is probably not quite easy and it takes a certain kind of self-denial and a huge willpower.
Under this post, Dwayne confided to the public that he had returned to his gym after a week during which he had a great workload. However, being able to focus on training and concentrate was very challenging for this fighter. But as he wrote, he loves working out, which is evident in his endorphin-filled face. However, Johnson motivated people further and pointed out a quote from Theodore Roosevelt, who was the 26th president of the United States. He served in office from 1901-1909.
The quote in English reads, "When you're the one who's actually putting in the work. To remind you, that you're the one who's in the arena."
Loosely translated, "When you're the one who's putting in the work. Don't forget that you're the one who's in the game/the arena."
Dwayne has mentioned this quote several times and seems to like being inspired by Theodore Roosevelt. When will we see The Rock in theaters again, you ask? As early as next July, we could see Johnson in the DC-produced Black Adam.
