"Don't admit failure," says the indomitable Flex Wheeler

One of the greatest bodybuilding legends is undoubtedly Flex Wheeler, who has had a lot of surgeries in his life and had to endure a lot of pain. Even in 2019, due to serious complications from blood clots and kidney failure, doctors decided to partially amputate Wheeler's right leg. Flex summed it up by saying:

I would like to thank all my fans and fellow bodybuilding fans for your prayers and support during this difficult time for me and my family. Surgery was necessary due to escalating circulatory problems in my right leg that became life threatening.I am now resting comfortably and have begun rehabilitation.I would also like to thank my excellent medical team for their treatment and care.

In early August, we informed you that Wheeler had undergone a repeat rotator cuff surgery that did not go as he had hoped...

Left shoulder surgery again... rotator cuff surgery. It was supposed to be an outpatient procedure. But they can't get my pain under control so I'm still lying here in the hospital. Jesus, the amount of pain I'm experiencing and the amount of pain I've gone through over the years is really just mind bending.

Except this surgery didn't go as planned either, and Flex had to have a third shoulder surgery!

We'll try again... Rotator cuff surgery #3 on this shoulder. Proper and intelligent training is essential! Staying injury free should be the goal for everyone regardless of goals. Hopefully this time it will work better than the previous two attempts. God bless you! See you on the other side.

Now it looks like Flex might be okay, as he recently posted a video of him doing the leg press on his Instagram. However, it should be noted that Flex has been working out even after losing his leg!
