Czech team led by Vlasta Kuzel won valuable metals in Brazil!
Author: During 7 - 11.11.2019 in Florianópolis, Brazil, the GPA/IPO World Championship 2019 Brazill - GDA/IPO World Championship was held. Competitions were held in bench press, deadlift, powerlifting and push-pull.
Our republic also had its representatives at these competitions - Vlastimil Kužel, Jan Křivka, Oldřich Procházka and Radek Filipi. All four fighters competed in bench press ala bench press.
As you know, our best bench presser Vlastimil Kužel was the first Czech in history to win gold at the legendary Mr. Olympia competitions!
Vlastimil Kužel dominated Las Vegas and won gold at Mr. Olympia!
About a month ago, Kužel and Křivka competed in Zadar, Croatia (WUAP Balkan Open), where Jan won silver and the infallible Vlastimil won gold.
But this time Vlasta had a lot of work to do to fit into his weight class. Judge for yourself by his statement he made on soc. on his social media:
We're loaded and tomorrow morning we're going to rock it. For the first time in my life I had to vomit during the weigh-in to fit into the weight class, but I'm there, exactly 110 kg. Before I left the Czech Republic, my weight was 117 kg. Let's see if I have any strength left for tomorrow.
And how did our four fighters do? Really great!
