Cedric McMillan spoke openly about recent heart problems: 'I was nearly dead'

Cedric McMillan, who hasn't exactly been scoring this season, has been talked about a lot in the bodybuilding scene lately. He did not compete in the Arnold Classic in September and missed the finals during his participation in the Legion Sports Fest. Even though this great bodybuilder doesn't release much information to the public, at his recent showcase appearance (NPC Armed Forces Nationals 2021) he talked about his health issues he has had to face during this year.

McMillan confided to fans that he almost died during July. He was hospitalized for three weeks, where he lost around 30lbs! After being released from the hospital, Cedric went back to training for Arnold and wanted to make up his deficit. However, he didn't heed the advice of the doctors and his tired body, and sick as he was, he attempted the impossible. This approach led to further health problems and subsequent withdrawal from the competition.

Fans can already look forward to the next time this experienced and quality professional competitor steps on stage. In the video, Cedric also highlights the fact that top athletes should not forget about their family. On the contrary, they should be attentive to their loved ones and show their love to them in a timely manner and not just be preoccupied with their goal.
