Cedric McMillan showed his current form 9 weeks before the 2022 Arnold Classic

The 2021 season was a really unlucky one for Cedric McMillan and he probably won't remember it well. Cedric even withdrew during the Legion Sports Fest Pro 2021 race and subsequently didn't make any public appearances, so no one knew what was wrong with McMillan. However, he eventually showed up at the NPC Armed Forces Nationals 2021, where he gave an exhibition performance and then talked about his health issues he had to face over the last year. McMillan confided in fans that he nearly died during July.

He was hospitalized for three weeks, where he lost about 30lbs! After being released from the hospital, Cedric went back to training for Arnold and wanted to make up his deficit. However, he didn't heed the advice of the doctors and his tired body, and sick as he was, he attempted the impossible. This approach led to further health problems and subsequent withdrawal from the competition.

Thankfully, McMillan is currently fine and preparing for the 2022 Arnold Classic, where he has been invited by the organizers. It will be very interesting to see how this great competitor manages to succeed and if he can still keep up with the best of the best.
