Bodybuilder Keone Pearson returns to the classic physique division
Every bodybuilder wants to constantly improve and so he chooses the option of transferring to other divisions. For example, Chaun Clarida, the so-called "pocket bodybuilder", decided to do this during the beginning of this season. This competitor has so far competed in the 212 lbs category and chose the Legion Sports Fest Pro 2021 as his first open competition, which he was able to dominate and qualify for Mr. Olympia 2022.
However, at this point the problem arose in which category Clarida will compete at the Olympia, as he can also compete in his dominant category - up to 212lbs. The decision from Chaun is clear - I want to compete in both categories! Let's see how the organizers will react to this fact and whether we will see Clarida in both 212 and open.

On the other hand, one of those who have transferred to the 212 division and are looking to leave is Keone Pearson. The rider made the decision after finishing fourth in the Classic Physique category at the 2019 Olympia. However, he got off to a decent start in 212. He won the 2020 Chicago Pro to qualify for the 2020 Olympia, which he did not enter due to personal issues. And last year was a repeat of an almost identical scenario - winning the Chicago Pro. This time, however, Keone did attend the Olympia, but finished "only" 14th. This was obviously a disappointment for Pearson, so he decided to go back to the category from which he started - Classic Physique.
Keone said he has thought about this decision for a long time, but believes it is the best decision for him. He would like to show us all how he will present a healthier version of himself. Later this week, Keone's YouTube statement will be released so you can hear more details about why this racer made this decision.
