Blessing Awodibu, Luis Rodriguez, Mohamed Shaaban and Nick Walker ahead of New York Pro 2021
Probably in the month of May this year's season will start for the professional bodybuilders from Jim Manion's IFBB Professional League!
Although it has been customary for several long years that the season starts at the turn of February and March at the North American Arnold Classic, this year, due to the ongoing Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic, it will unfortunately be different.
Developments suggest that the Arnold Classic will unconventionally take place in the second half of the year, and just maybe!
A number of pros are planning to take to the competition stage in May, with three competitions a week apart, the Indy Pro (May 8), the New York Pro (May 15) and the California Pro (May 22).
Blessing Awodibu
Comedian Blessing Awodibu is expected to don the competition swimsuit as early as May 8, which will be his professional debut. Blessing, as you know from us, is a stablemate of the phenomenal Kai Green at Redcon1.

At the second of the named events, the New York Pro, the trio of Luis Rodriguez, Mohamed Shaaban and Nick Walker are expected to enter this season, and we'll take a look at their current form below.
Luis Rodriguez
The former, who is originally from the Dominican Republic, had the season of his life last year when he scored two 2nd place finishes at the New York Pro and Wings of Strength Chicago, and also had an excellent result at Mr. Olympia, where he made it into the Top 10!
The attached photo documents his form 12 weeks before the start of this season, in which he would like to score his first professional victory.

Mohamed Shaaban
The Egyptian pro had the season of his life in 2019, scoring his debut win at the 2019 Portugal Pro, which earned him a spot at the 2019 Mr. Olympia, where he finished 16th.
Last year, he competed in a pair of events, namely California Pro 2020 and Wings of Strength Chicago 2020, where he finished sixth and seventh respectively.
He would also love to be the one to walk off the stage at the New York Pro 2021 as the winner! You can also judge his form 12 weeks before the competition in the attached photos.
Nick Walker
Although Nick is not as seasoned a pro as the above mentioned fighters, when he made his pro debut at last year's Wings of Strength Chicago, he came in a very respectable fourth place!
He hasn't worn a competitive swimsuit since then, and he's working hard to not only score a professional win this year, but more importantly, to compete in the most prestigious bodybuilding competition in the world, Mr. Olympia!
Can he do both in Florida, where, just like last year, this year's New York Pro is being held? We don't know, but a photo taken 12 weeks before the contest might give us a clue.
