Ales Lamka finished his first season in NPC

During the past weekend, Ales Lamka, who tried to win a professional card at the NPC Austria races, appeared on the podium in our southern neighbours. Although he came with better form than the week before at the EVLS Prague Amateur 2022, he still couldn't win a pro card and will have to try his luck in the upcoming season. He assessed his feelings after the competition in Austria as follows:

As I said, the form was as good as I could manage. Since Prague, I have pulled 3kg down in one week and weighed 85.2kg.
Realistically, the limit for my category is 86kg. I can pull myself up and push my limit to 89kg.

Goal for next year? Simple

a) To be 1.5kg leaner so that my guts shine through my butt, back and I'm in the best shape ever, no question.

b) To gain 5-7kg of muscle mass to have the most muscle I can have, in addition to being in the best shape.

c) I can't change my face and genetics, just enjoy it and give it my best shot. Looking forward to it!

At the same time, he wrote on his Instagram under one of his posts that he is ending this year's season in NPC and it's time for him to focus on his family and rest.

This year's first season in NPC is over. It's time to focus on family and relaxation.

In Austria I took 2nd place out of 12 and 14 guys in both the physique and classic physique categories. Unfortunately it was not enough by a bit despite my current best form. I'm absolutely happy with what I did, how I improved and slightly sad that it didn't work out.

But what, you'll fall? You'll get up! I will be back!
Next year I'll be bigger, in better shape, and there will be nothing to discuss.

What do you think about Ales' form in Austria? And do you think he can win a pro card next year?
