Barley is made from millet by removing the seed husk from the grain. In earlier times, they were widely used, for example, for the preparation of jerky or jahelnik. For some time, the cereal was displaced from the kitchen by rice, but this has fortunately changed over time.

It is important to store the buckwheat in a cool place and in summer days it is better to keep it in the fridge. It is not recommended to buy them in stock as they tend to go rancid. It is also a good idea to steam them before cooking to get rid of any bitter taste they may have. After scalding, just boil them for 15 to 20 minutes and let them finish cooking under the lid.

Store at a temperature of up to 25 °C and relative humidity of up to 70 %.
