Elderflower enjoys many flattering nicknames, because almost every part of this plant can be used and at the same time is suitable for something else. Elderberries are primarily a rich source of vitamin C and substances called bioflavonoids.
The spray also contains manuka honey - honey collected by bees from the flowers of the manuka, a plant from New Zealand. Manuka has a high content of naturally occurring hydrogen peroxide (oxygen). However, the best known is a mixture of photochemicals called UMF or unique manuka factor.
Other substances include hibiscus root and aloe vera, recommended for their high content of specific polysaccharides.
