Psyllium is a finely ground powder from the seed husks of the Plantago ovata (Indian plantain) plant. It is a natural source of soluble fibre which when mixed with liquid forms a gel-like texture. This property helps to support proper digestive function, regular bowel movements and gut health.
Psyllium also helps replenish dietary fiber and, due to its ability to increase its volume in the stomach, may contribute to a longer feeling of satiety, which may be helpful in weight control.

Recommended dosage of Psyllium husk:
- Mix 5g of powder (approx. 1 teaspoon) with approximately 200-250ml of water or other liquid and drink immediately. Take 1-3 times a day as needed.
- When taking psyllium, it is important to maintain a sufficient drinking regime to allow the fibre to swell and work properly in the digestive tract.
