Therefore, there is a well collecting rainwater, which, after ozone treatment, serves as a water source for the company's headquarters. Biomass obtained from the surrounding forest is used as a biofuel generating heat during the winter in our slate floors.

Hifas also uses a closed loop system to manage waste from the grow bags and logs we use in growing our mushrooms. Once the production cycle of bags and logs is complete, the resulting substrate is used to nourish our soil with organic matter.
